How Did Curly Tail Treats Come about?

I was baking some scratch made cookies for my family when I got the idea to try baking healthy, natural dog treats for my rescued mutt “Digger”. I downloaded a simple treat recipe from the internet and gave it a shot. It was an immediate hit with Digger, who waited expectantly, with tongue hanging out & curly tail wagging as the treats came out of the oven. During our daily walks throughout the neighborhood Digger and I passed out samples of each new flavor to any fellow dog walkers we came across. The treats were a Big Success!

Digger kept itching and scratching himself, plus he had hot spots between his toes on several of his paws. I never found any fleas or ticks, so I did some research online and found out that the symptoms were related to a food allergy. So I redesigned all of the treat flavors to remove wheat and gluten, the two most common food allergies.

 What makes Curly Tail Treats Different? 

Curly Tail Treats seeks to offer all natural, healthy treats that any dog would love to eat. Since many of our customers have expressed their need for special dietary treats, we have developed new recipes that are Gluten Free, Wheat free, Sugar Free and Low Fat in order to cater to the discriminating palates of all dogs and their  owners. 

To support local area businesses and minimize our ecological footprint, we have partnered with several local area farmers to use fresh, locally grown produce in our treats whenever possible.
